Travel With Me Series | Day 1

April 1, 2012

I received an overwhelming response to do another photo series here on the blog and because I’ve been able to enjoy a lot of traveling opportunities in recent months, I thought it would be fun to share some of my travels with you over the next few weeks.

Now, I know it’s spring already but a few months back I enjoyed some wonderful winter trips and this series just wouldn’t be complete without sharing them with you. My winter adventures started here in Switzerland where my husband and a friend of ours stayed over night in Zermatt to go skiing in The Alps. Not only was it my first time skiing in The Alps, but it was my first time skiing…ever. I did much more falling than skiing but the views were so breathtaking that I didn’t really mind all the bruises I collected. 🙂

The little town of Zermatt is so unbelievably charming. As you walk the narrow streets covered in snow, it feels like you just stepped into the pages of a winter storybook. While I enjoyed the experience of skiing there, I think I enjoyed just taking in the views more. This is a photo I took overlooking the snow covered town. I love the church clock tower rising above all the other buildings and homes along with the infamous Matterhorn peak in all its glory as the backdrop. We lucked out with an absolutely picture perfect day.

Blue skies, fresh snow and mountains…now that’s what I’m talking about! 🙂
